Novel approach to geophysical well surveying

For the first time in Ukraine, engineers from  LLC RTE Burova Technika and LLC Ukrspetzgeologiya successfully conducted geophysical well survey using coiled tubing equipment.

Works were carried out at the Ukrnafta field, in directional well with horizontal section. 

During operations, coiled tubing (CT) with a tied-in wireline and the corresponding geophysical tools were used.

Modules were run on CT with continuous recording of readings from thermal log, pressure log, resistivity log, moisture gage, thermal inflow meter, acoustic meter and mechanical flow meter in real time (with cross-reference to GR and LM).
